This is a section for….and more importantly….about special friends of Ramona’s Basil Garden whom I will call Basil Gardener Friends.  I wanted to create a community where we can show off our collective  talents and learn from each other.  That was the inspiration behind Ramona’s Basil Garden.

If you Love Your Basil and have a Basil Garden, have a story about your Basil, or simply  grow your favorite Basil in your Garden; take a picture of yourself, write your story and submit!

Then you can be a Featured Basil Gardener Friend.

Our Basil Gardener Friends are easy to get to in the Nav bar at the top of the page, you can either hover over the ‘Basil Gardener’ tab and select a Basil Gardener from  the drop down menu.  Or you can click on their name hyperlink listed below.  I hope you enjoy reading stories about our Special Basil Gardener Friends.

Go ahead, send us YOUR story about growing and using basil and remember to always…Love Your Basil!

I have what I believe is Vietnamese Basil. Everything I have read about it leads me no where. I probably have 10,000 plants from one plant a friend gave me last year that reseeded itself. Any ideas on how to cook with it, how to sell it or what it actually is? The plants are now about 3 feet tall have HUGE leaves on them and are growing like Kudzu. Hellllp?????

There are several different varieties of Vietnamese Basil. Can you take a good picture of your plant and then a close up of the leaves and I can try to see if we can get it identified.

Have you been to the Basil Seed exchange forum? http://basilseedexchange.lefora.com/?utm_source=vertical&utm_medium=basilseedexchange&utm_campaign=badges Post your wanted Basil and folks if they have will help you out. I have 3 types of basils. Here in India we call them as TULASI. It’s embodiment of god, we worship these trees daily
